ALL in action

The Association for Language Learning is actively involved in developments in the world of languages, both nationally and internationally. 

We work in partnership with many key organisations in the UK and abroad to promote and support language learning and teachers of languages. 

Shaping the future:

As the main representative body of language teachers in the UK, ALL brings the voice of the classroom teacher to debates on policy and practice. We encourage members to take part in consultations or ask you to send us your views so that we are able to respond on your behalf. We take up the fight when there are things you don't like - although we can't always promise to win!

Making things happen:

ALL is also a channel through which members can participate in national and international project work, bringing their expertise and experience to bear on developments in new approaches to language learning, the place of languages in the wider curriculum or in the production of new resources to support language teaching and learning.

Keeping you up to date:

Through this involvement in the latest developments in the field, we're able to keep our members up-to-date and ahead of the game.

• Our electronic bulletin, ALLNet, is published every week in term-time and if there's breaking news in the world of languages, we let members know immediately.
• Our magazine Languages Today features lively articles on innovative practice.
• Our range of language specific journals bring you news, articles and resources about the individual languages you teach, and the Language Learning Journal provides the latest reseach that underpins practice.
