Teachit

Here at ALL, we like to keep our members up to date with all the latest opportunities and developments in language teaching, and here’s one we’d like to tell you a bit more about.

ALL Corporate Member Teachit is an established online educational publisher with a unique approach: it works co-operatively, sharing a proportion of subscription revenues with the teachers who contribute materials. The original site for secondary English, www.teachit.co.uk, was launched in 1999 and has since been joined by sites for primary, ELT, Citizenship and Maths teachers. Together, these sites now offer over 25,000 pages of resources, all created and edited by teachers. ALL has been working with Teachit on the development of a new resources site, just for teachers of languages.

Now Teachit is launching its brand new site – Teachit Languages – and we wanted you to be the first to know!

GrowStoryGrowGrow Story Grow

GrowStoryGrow has a traditional (but sad) story for Chinese New Year about the Great Wall of China, with some lovely animation and sound effects. First, show the children where the wall is on a map and explain to them the huge loss of life and hardship workers underwent. You could also play the story in Mandarin, just for fun. Languages: English, French, Spanish, German, Polish, Mandarin.

You can access it directly by going to www.growstorygrow.com and use the following login details:
username: chinese
password: newyear (do not use capitals or spaces!)
The story will be available to ALL members for a week. Warning - a beautiful, but sad story!
