Rachel Hawkes gives the keynote presentation on Speaking: one skill or two? Ideas, strategies and resources for the language classroom. Helen Myers, Alex Frazer and Nick Mair will talk on aspects of departmental planning and management (including how to handle controlled assessment at GCSE). There are also talks on Spanish painting, linguistics at university and the teaching of Arabic.

The cost per head (to include lunch and refreshments throughout the day) is £90 to members (£110 to non-members, to include full ISMLA membership for the remainder of the academic year – normally £45).
