Thursday 29 March:

Pre-Conference Events

15:00: For those arriving early on Thursday there was the chance to explore Manchester on our free walking tour. Led by Geoff Brammall (Chair of the ALL National German Committee), a native Mancunian who is always pleased to show people around his home town, places visited included the Bridgewater Hall, St. Mary's Church (Manchester's 'Hidden Gem'), the Royal Exchange and Chetham's Library.

19:30: Evening meal at the Great Wall Chinese Restaurant. Our informal evening plans offered a chance to mingle with fellow early arrivals and to meet the ALL team.

Friday 30 March:

17:00 - 18:00	The free Language World Exhibition Reception, sponsored by Pearson, allowed guests to enjoy a drink whilst chatting to exhibitors.
19:30 - 20:00	The Routledge Language World Wine Reception provided an opportunity for pre-dinner drinks.
20:00 -	The Language World Conference Dinner, sponsored by Sanako, is always a fantastic way to relax after a day of workshops.
