OISE Madrid: News Review session
OISE Madrid provides intensive Spanish language training. We
offer specific courses aimed at A and A/S level students. The
OISE day begins with a press review session in which students
select an item from the daily press and give a brief summary to
the rest of the group. This then develops into an open
discussion of the morning's news. The press review session
allows us to bring "real world" material into the course and
gives students a valuable insight into the issues which dominate
contemporary Spain. Crucially it means that when they enter the
classroom they have already broken the communication barrier and
are fully primed for a session of intensive, communication based
training.

OISE Madrid is currently offering sample
sessions of the press review to British schools. This is an
opportunity for sixth formers to participate in a learning
activity which will encourage them to communicate in Spanish and
also to develop their interest in the language and culture. This
