BFI KS3 Spanish Study day: Cine espãnol para jóvenes: a KS3 Spanish Study Day at The National Film and Television School, Buckinghamshire
April 28 @ 10:00 - 15:00
BFI School events are coming to venues around the UK.
The Schools Programme at the BFI Southbank offers a broad programme of stimulating study days covering a wide range curriculum subjects across all Key Stages.
For the first time, due to increasing demand, we are taking our events to cinemas and cultural venues across the UK.
This event uses film and the moving image as a conduit to teach new vocabulary which will stimulate and motivate your students. Focusing on a suitable selection of short films, such as Emperrado (2009), La Leyenda del Espantapájaros (2005) and La Huida (2011), the interactive morning session will highlight themes of interest to young people while offering glimpses into Spanish life and culture. There will be interactive activities in the target language and vocabulary extension related to the films. There are opportunities for students to learn more about film language and also to act out small dramas on stage which will help consolidate learning. The afternoon comprises an introduced screening of the popular feature film, Zipi y Zape y el club de la canica, (2013).
If schools would like to tour the NFTS whilst at the studios, we can offer opportunities before the event begins. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to book in advance
Led by Nicola Fahidi, Head of MFL, Immanuel College, Bushey. This event is for school parties and teachers.
