The Stephen Spender Prize 2018 for poetry in translation is open for entries.

Entrants are invited to submit an English translation of a published poem from any language, ancient or modern, together with a commentary of no more than 300 words. The translation should be max. 60 lines (extracts are accepted). Entrants must be UK or Irish citizens or residents. There are three categories: Open (adult), 18-and-under and 14-and-under. Please note that there is an entrance fee for over-18s of £7 for each translation. Under 18s can apply free of charge.

There are cash prizes to be won and all winners will be invited to an awards ceremony in central London in November 2018.
