FLAME: Future for Languages as a Medium of Education
FLAME is a new initiative led by the Association for Language Learning to support the integration of language learning with other curriculum subjects.
We hope that the initiative will increase the number of primary and secondary schools that combine subject and language teaching, and that in this way we can help to transform the quality of language learning in schools.
Membership features include:
- A monthly newsletter
- Discounts on FLAME activities and events
- Access to the FLAME web pages which will gradually build up a library of resources.
Membership is automatic if you are an individual member of ALL. If you are not a member, you can sign up to be part of the FLAME community for £10 for 12 months of membership.

They are friendly events with time to share information and ideas, and are designed for people who are new to CLIL as well as those with CLIL experience. See the panel on the right for event which FLAME is currently running.
