What is ALL?

The Association for Language Learning (ALL) is the UK’s major subject association for those involved in teaching foreign languages at all levels. There are currently 4,500 members.

The Association is committed to the professional development of language teachers.

Getting involved

As an organisation ALL puts all of its resources into supporting and representing different groups of language teachers in the UK, with the help of volunteers around the country.

ALL currently confers two types of award:

  • The award of Fellow, on long standing members of the Association who have been nominated by their peers, in recognition of their commitment to ALL’s objectives and the support of other languages teachers
  • An award scheme to recognise the creativity, dynamism, enthusiasm and skill of inspiring primary and secondary languages teachers, who add value to their own schools and their local language teaching community.
