ALL North East
North East Branch
Sue Balmer, Steven Fawkes, Rosemary Hicks, Nathalie Paris, Rene Koglbauer and Jim McElwee organise events for the North East Branch, usually based in Newcastle, in collaboration with Network for Languages, and an annual competition for pupils to celebrate the European Day of Languages. The ALL North East Branch works with and supports the ALL South Tyneside Network and the ALL Primary Hubs in the North East, which also organise events (see below for the full list of Primary Hubs in the North East region).
The North-East was one of the ALL Connect regions in 2015-16 and hosted free CPD events for interested teachers in KS2 and KS3 around the region.

ALL Connect ran in the North East and offered free face to face and online training on major themes such as speaking, writing, grammar, transition and progression. Training was offered to those working in mainstream education in the primary and secondary sector, in partnership with the North Leadership Centre at Newcastle University (which houses Network for Languages North East and is co-ordinating the North East Teaching Schools Partnership).You can visit the ALL Connect Blog to view and download training materials.
