Shifting Minds: Becoming Designers of Authentic Tasks for Curriculum for Wales

This webinar explores how language educators are designing authentic, high-impact learning tasks to drive curriculum reform and learner engagement. Using an International Language framework aligned with Curriculum for Wales, the session highlights system-wide approaches to collaborative task design, cross-curricular alignment and shared professional leadership.
Participants will explore how intercultural themes and creative approaches to assessment can foster learner autonomy, deepen cultural understanding and strengthen collaboration within classrooms and across the wider school community. Through teacher reflections and practical examples, the webinar will highlight professional learning journeys, effective transition planning and ways to integrate language and culture within purposeful, progressive learning experiences.
