Lottie Osborn – Manie Musicale – bring this worldwide music competition into your curriculum
Manie Musicale is an annual music competition organised by French teachers and used by thousands of teachers in their curriculum. In lessons, learners predict winners and vote for their favourites from 16 songs by artists from a diverse range of French-speaking countries. It is an inclusive and engaging highlight of her curriculum each year. Spanish, German, and Japanese versions are also available
Janet Clarke – Every puppet tells a story
Motivating and engaging young children to develop a love of languages using puppets, props and stories. This presentation will offer lots of tips and tricks for using puppets in the classroom including simple ideas for making puppets in the lesson, encouraging participation and the use of the target language.
Kate Collings – Selecting rhymes for teaching and performing throughout the primary phase
In this presentation Kate will talk about ways to exploit rhymes for learning – from counting syllables and doing actions to more creative outcomes. She will also provide some helpful tips on how to prepare poems for performance.
