FLAME is a new initiative set up by ALL (Association for Language Learning) in order to support CLIL and bilingual learning.

FLAME, Future for Language as a Medium of Education, will aim to support teachers in their various endeavours to combine subject topics with language lessons: essentially the teaching of an academic subject in a language that is not English.

FLAMES objectives:
1. Bring individuals who have a shared interest in bilingual learning together
2. Provide valuable information and advice for schools who need help integrating language learning within key subjects
3. Arrange open days to see CLIL and bilingual learning in action, and
4. Improve the availability of learning resources

ALL anticipate that FLAME will hopefully increase the number of primary and schools that incorporate language teaching with the teaching of key subjects, and that this in turn will help to transform the quality of language learning in schools.
