Nominations are currently being invited for the German Teacher Award 2010.
(Deadline: 15 Jun 2010). The prizes will be presented at a special ceremony at the ‘Sommerfest der Deutschen Sprache’ on 20 Sept 2010 in Newcastle.
The purpose of the Award is
• to recognise outstanding achievement by individual teachers of German in the UK
• to highlight and pay tribute to the work of German teachers in the UK
• to encourage the commitment of the winners’ schools to modern language teaching.
Three teachers from the UK will be selected, including, if possible, one primary teacher.
At this occasion the Goethe-Institut’s Peter Boaks Prize will also be awarded.
