New President Elect

We are pleased to announce that following the call for nominations at the end of last year, René Koglbauer has been confirmed as the new President Elect of ALL from 01 February 2014.

René joined ALL at the start of his career as a secondary teacher in Oxfordshire. He worked for a number of years The Cherwell School in Oxford, where he was promoted to Head of German and Acting Head of Languages as well as Head of Careers. During this period René was also Lead Practitioner for languages and AfL for the local authority.

Following over ten years in language teaching in secondary schools, René moved in 2010 into teacher training at Newcastle University. He currently heads up the North Leadership Centre and Network for Languages North East.

René has served on various ALL committees and in networks and branches. He understands how ALL works at regional as well as national level; for the last three years René has been a member of the Management Board (Honorary Finance Officer and trustee).

René will take up his role of President from 01 September 2014 and will be the first President to take on the role for two years (2014-2016). You can contact René via the ALL Office.
