Julie Prince – What’s in a word? Teaching and practising vocabulary in primary languages
In language teaching, there is currently a focus on vocabulary, one of Ofsted’s 3 ‘pillars’. The new MFL GCSE specifications include prescribed word lists based on high-frequency words. In this session, we’ll consider which vocabulary to include at KS2, how to include high-frequency words in the MFL curriculum and we’ll explore engaging ways of practising vocabulary.
