The key contributions of subjects to climate change and nature education: a curriculum policy proposal
This proposal was the result of a collaboration between CfSA and its members (including ALL), UCL’s Centre for Climate Change and Sustainability Education, Global Action Plan, the National Association of Environmental Education and learned societies. Huge thanks to everyone for their contributions. This advance copy has also been shared with members of the Curriculum and Assessment Review panel, colleagues at DfE and Minister Morgan.
Liz (Black) and Judith (Rifeser) comment on this collaborative project:
“As current and past presidents, we felt strongly about engaging in this initiative that links the critical role languages play in our world with the important challenge we face as human beings to protect nature and the environment. We advocated for the role languages play in exploring how different people across the globe live, their relationship to nature and the environment and how we can learn from each other to protect our planet as active citizens of the world.”
The proposal will be made public on 8 September when it will be available on the websites of UCL, Global Action Plan and the National Association of Environmental Education with accompanying blogs, social media posts and a press release: https://discovery.ucl.ac.uk/id/eprint/10212236/
