Today marks an important moment in the life of the association as we thank our outgoing Co-Presidents, Prof. Anna-Lise Gordon and Steven Fawkes, for their dedicated service and leadership over the past year.
During their co-presidency, Anna-Lise and Steven brought a powerful combination of expertise, advocacy and passion for languages. Together they championed the value of language learning, supported the development of ALL’s networks, communities and new initiatives, and ensured that the association continued to be a strong and respected voice for language educators at a time of significant change and challenge.
Their complementary strengths, unwavering commitment and generous stewardship have helped guide ALL through an important period in its development. On behalf of all members, I would like to express our sincere gratitude for their contribution to the association and to language education more broadly. Their impact will continue to be felt across our community for many years to come.
